Bodegas El Nido was born from a collaboration between Chris Ringland and the Gil family of Bodegas Juan Gil. This exceptional team harnesses the potential of mature Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah vineyards, along with ancient Monastrell (Mataro) from the mountain valleys North of Jumilla. El Nido, their flagship wine, is carefully crafted with 60-70% Cabernet, complemented by select portions of Monastrell and Syrah. After the meticulous winemaking process, the wine is matured for 24 months, predominantly in French barriques. With the added benefit of a year of bottle aging prior to release, this wine has the potential for long-term cellaring, rewarding those with patience and an appreciation for the finest expressions of Jumilla`s terroir.
