De Angeles Gran Malbec 2018 is a full-bodied red wine from the Mendoza region of Argentina. De Angeles is a small estate in the most westerly and highest altitude part of the ‘Zona Primera’ of Luján de Cuyo in Mendoza. Owner Guillermo Barbier and winemaker Juan Manuel Gonzalez are the team behind tiny-production wines that are renowned for their incredible concentration, purity and elegance. The 2018 Gran Malbec is produced from ungrafted Malbec vines planted 1924. Intense and rich, with wonderful layers of savoury complexity and floral perfume, this is a serious and deeply enjoyable interpretation of the variety.
