Patriarch Shiraz honours one of the most significant contributors to the Australian wine industry, the late David Wynn. The grapes are from very old plantings at High Eden estate, perched at an altitude of 500m, overlooking the Eden Valley. On the nose, expect aromas of peppery spices, typical of cool climate Shiraz aged in top-quality French oak. The palate has a velvety tannin structure, compelling firmness and tremendous depth of dark fruits, sprinkled with some vanilla.
