The flagship wine of this family-run estate (owner David Arthur Long manages the winery with his daughter, Laura) Elevation 1147 is full-bodied yet also strikingly elegant - a balance the estate is able to achieve largely thanks to the unique microclimate of this north-eastern section of the Napa Valley, which is characterised by very warm days and cool nights. "Pushes ripe fruit to the edge of jam, with blackberry and wild berry flavours that are more supple and balanced on the palate than the aromas suggest. Impressive for its balance, grace and finesse.
