Courvoisier Erte No 8 Inedit Jarnacaise Edition

HED45581 70cl 40%
Considered the rarest of all the famous Courvoisier Erté bottlings, this special edition of Courvoisier Erté is sometimes referred to as ‘Inédit Not For Sale’. The late Art Deco artist Erté designed the bottle and illustrations for Courvoisier’s Erté collection in 1988, just two years before his death in 1990. The artist’s original seven bottle designs were released annually in editions of 12,000 bottles, with each design depicting a different facet of the Cognac production process.

Courvoisier

Established in the early 1800s by Emmanuel Courvoisier, who was born in 1789 in Jarnac, in the heart of the Cognac region in south-west France. Courvoisier sources eaux-de-vie from the following crus to create their blends - Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies and Fin Bois. Distillation takes place between November and March - the spirit is double-distilled in Charentais alembic copper pot stills before barrel ageing takes place in Tronçais oak.

Alongside a core range than extends from VS to XO, Courvoisier has issued a number of limited editions and special releases, including a notable collaboration with Russian-born artist Erté.
