‘Grancey’ was the name of the previous owners of the château located along the Corton road before it was acquired by the Latour family in 1891. This cuvée, crafted by Maison Louis Latour, is a distinctive and exclusive offering. It is a blend of five plots from Domaine Latour Corton Grand Cru. Bressandes, Perrières, Grèves, Clos du Roi, and Chaumes, with the proportions adjusted according to the specific vintage. The vineyards boast an average age of over 40 years. After individual ageing, only the finest barrels are selected to create the Château Corton Grancey. The wine is made only if the grapes reach perfect maturity, with vintages considered inferior being simply declassified.
