Clos du Rouge Gorge Blanc from small scale natural winemaker, Cyril Fhal, is made from 100% Maccabeu from 70-year-old vines planted on gneiss hillsides in the Côtes Catalanes IGP. Aged in new 500-litre barrels and seasoned barriques to lend subtle texture to the exceptionally vibrant and fresh notes of white citrus, lemon verbena, wild thyme, mint and anise. Delicate, precise and with gorgeous mineral tension, this is a superb food wine. Its subtle saline tang works brilliantly well with fresh seafood and shellfish.
