Poggiotondo Vigna di Conchiglie Chianti Riserva 2019 is a full-bodied, single-vineyard red wine produced from organically farmed Sangiovese grapes in the Chianti appellation of Tuscany, central Italy. Poggiotondo is the Chianti estate of Alberto Antonini and is situated in the hills to the north-west of Empoli in western Tuscany. The Vigna di Conchiglie Chianti Riserva is fermented in a 16hl concrete `tulip` tank with 20% whole bunches, the wine is matured in untoasted foudre barrels for 24 months and bottled unfiltered. Classic Chianti flavours of cherries and currants with notes of wild rose, sous bois, leather and tobacco. Refined, structured, with a good persistence on the palate.
