This is a superb Bas-Armagnac from the highly regarded Chateau du Tariquet producer. Unusually, this Armagnac combines the traditional brandy grapes of Ugni Blanc and Baco with the rare Plant de Graisse, an ancient grape variety reintroduced by the Grassa-Artaud family. The result is a richly flavoured Hors d’Age Armagnac, with notes of flowers, vanilla, dried grapes, toffee, oak, apple cider, lemon rind, cedarwood and strawberries.
