Domaine Odoul Coquard Chambolle-Musigny Les Sentiers 2022 is a full-bodied Burgundy red wine from the Premier Cru climat of Les Sentiers in the commune of Chambolle-Musigny in the Côte de Nuits. Domaine Odoul-Coquard was founded in the early 20th century and remains family owned and operated, managing 9 hectares of vineyards in 21 different appellations throughout the Côte de Nuits. This release comes from ‘Les Sentiers’, a Premier Cru in Chambolle-Musigny located just below the Grand Cru of Bonnes-Mares. The wines from this appellation tend to be gutsier than many of its counterparts in the commune. The domaine produced just a single barrel from this 1er Cru in 2022.
The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny Les Sentiers 1er Cru comprises just one barrel. The very elegant and well-defined bouquet displays more cohesion than the Les Baudes. The palate is fresh and vibrant with sweet red cherry, white pepper and black pepper notes. It loses a little elegance on the finish, but overall, this is a fine Chambolle-Musigny.
