Hudelot-Baillet is a family-owned winery, currently led by Dominique Leguen, who is the son-in-law of Jöel Hudelot-Baillet. Leguen joined the estate after his service in the air force in 1998 and has been responsible for winemaking since 2002. While their vineyards are primarily located in the Chambolle-Musigny appellation, they produce a diverse range of wines, ranging from the prestigious Grand Cru Bonnes-Mares to their entry-level Bourgogne Rouge. The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny is crafted from 60- to 80-year-old vines, showcasing delicate and alluring black cherry fruit, subtle spice notes, a touch of menthol, and exquisitely integrated tannins. The wine culminates with a distinctive saline minerality that lingers gracefully on the finish.
