This Chardonnay offers a pure reflection of the Rio Negro region`s unique Mainqué terroir. Piero Incisa della Rocchetta founded Chacra in 2004 with the goal of showcasing this Patagonian site. For the flagship Mainqué cuvée, Incisa collaborated with renowned Burgundian producer Jean-Marc Roulot. Fermented entirely in barrel with no malolactic, the Chardonnay ages around 12 months across concrete eggs, stainless steel, and old French oak. This thoughtful approach allows Mainqué`s distinct minerality and crisp orchard fruit to shine. From a small winery with a focus on terroir, Mainqué delivers a precise portrait of Mainqué`s exceptional potential.
