Laurent Tribut Chablis Beauroy 2022 is a medium-bodied Chardonnay white wine produced from the Premier Cru climat of Beauroy in the Chablis appellation of Burgundy. Domaine Laurent Tribut is one of the leading names in Chablis, producing incredibly pure and powerful wines from just 5.2 hectares of vineyards. Laurent is the brother-in-law of Chablis icon Vincent Dauvissat and shares many of his winemaking methods. relatively low yields, hand-harvesting at full maturity, fermentation in steel and élevage in used wood on the lees. "The 2022 Chablis Beauroy 1er Cru has an intense oyster shell-tinged bouquet, conveying plenty of energy. The palate is well-balanced, with a dash of white pepper on the entry. More broad-shouldered than the 2021, with fine depth and quite fiery and peppery on the finish. This is likely to give immediate drinking pleasure." Neal Martin, 2023

Laurent Tribut

The small, family-run domaine of Laurent Tribut is based in the Chablis village of Poinchy. Tribut is the son-in-law of Vincent Dauvissat and began making his wines in the Dauvissat’s cellar before starting his own domaine. He has now passed winemaking duties on to his daughter, Solange.

The domaine consists of 6ha of vineyards including holdings in the Premiers Crus of Beauroy, Côte de Lechet and Montmains, as well as several village-level parcels. Low yields in the vineyards and patient work in the cellar, with wines fermented in steel and matured in neutral French oak barrels, produce classic, long-lived Chablis wines with more than a passing resemblance to the master himself, Monsieur Dauvissat. The Premier Cru wines may require four to five years of ageing before they are ready to drink, while even the village-level wines will benefit from two to three years in bottle before they are broached.
