Carruades de Lafite Magnum 2001

Château Lafite Rothschild`s second wine presents similar characteristics to their Grand Vin, but has its own unique profile, due to a higher proportion of Merlot. In the 2001 vintage, the blend comprises 50% Cabernet Franc, 42% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2% Petit Verdot. The nose is intricate, showcasing layers of black fruits, cigar, toasted elements, and graphite. On the palate, the wine boasts superb balance, refreshing acidity, and remarkably fine tannins. Despite a medium density, it offers good length on the finish.
