Founded in 1882, Carmel is the largest winery in Israel, with a local market share of almost 50%. Their ‘Single Vineyard’ series are from vineyards that consistently produce especially top-quality grapes, such as this Shiraz from the excellent Kayoumi vineyard. Deep purple in colour, the wine has rich aromas of blackcurrants, freshly ground black pepper and roasted coffee beans. It is well-balanced, with lots of dense flavours on the palate.
