Caballo Loco is the top tier wine from Chilean powerhouse, Valdivieso. It is, in effect, a non-vintage solera-style wine that is released in “editions” and contains multiple wines from different years. Caballo Loco 17 is comprised of 50% version 16 and 50% grapes from the 2012 and 2013 harvests, and includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Malbec and Carignan from multiple vineyards in the Chilean Central Valley region. It is rich, full-bodied and intense, with deep black fruits, balsamic notes and hints of woodsmoke and spices.
