Buffalo Trace Kosher Rye is a straight rye kosher whiskey produced by the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky. Produced with oversight by the Chicago Rabbinical Council in specifically designated kosher barrels to satisfy Passover requirements, this straight rye was matured for seven years and bottled at 94 proof. On the nose, it displays creamy sweet citrus notes and hints of sweet spices and vanilla. On the palate these same notes carry through and are complemented by richer notes of dark toffee, sweet grains and honey.
