Established in Tuscany in 1978 by Italian-American siblings John and Harry Mariani, Castello Banfi traces its roots to their father`s venture, Banfi Vintners, a prominent Italian wine importer in America since 1919. This 2010 Brunello di Montalcino exudes strength and expansiveness while finding balance. Displaying a dark ruby hue with evolving tones at the rim, the initially reserved nose gradually reveals earthy minerality, cherries, anise, and a hint of leather. The palate, medium to full-bodied, features elevated acidity and tannins that are integrating beautifully.
