Poggio alle Mura is the historical name of the 12th-century fortress which overlooks the Banfi estate, now known simply as Castello Banfi. From 1982, the Poggio Alle Mura was produced exclusively from vineyard sites Banfi identified, through extensive field research, as ideally suited to Sangiovese production." Cool and perfumed 2016 Brunello with black cherries, flowers and crushed stones. Medium to full body with firm, chewy tannins, yet polished and very silky. Mineral and seaweed undertones.
