Valdicava Brunello di Montalcino Madonna del Piano Riserva 2006 is a full-bodied Sangiovese red wine from the Montalcino sub-region of Tuscany, central Italy. The highly esteemed Valdicava is run by winemaker Attilio Pagli and agronomist Andrea Paoletti, each of whom contributes a wealth of knowledge to create benchmark Brunello di Montalcino wines. The relatively high altitude of the estate`s vineyards, around 300m means a longer hang time, and in turn a longer ripening period, for the grapes, ensuring the finesse and complexity of flavour which are the estate`s hallmark. Amazing aromas of blueberries and flowers, with black truffles and pie. Foie gras, mushrooms and white truffles too. Powerful, with great depth of gorgeous fruit and ultra-fine tannins.
