Bourgogne Blanc Bachelet Monnot 2021

HED92542 75cl 13%
Bachelet-Monnot is a relatively newcomer in Burgundy. The Domaine was established in 2005 by two young brothers, Alex and Marc Bachelet, who cultivate a combination of family-owned and leased vineyards, covering a total of 20 appellations. This 2021 Bourgogne Blanc is drawn from 1.3-hectares of 20-50-year-old vines in the Puligny area – spread across four parcels – and a plot of young vine in Chassagne. A young but charming Chardonnay with bright citrus fruit and a dry mineral finish.

Bachelet-Monnot

Founded by rising stars Marc and Alexandre Bachelet in 2005, Domaine Bachelet Monnot manage 10 hectares of vines in the communes in Maranges, Santenay and Puligny-Montrachet. The focus is on traditional techniques, terroir-led winemaking - 50% new oak is used for Grand Cru wines, but employed to a lesser extent for Premier Cru and Village-level wines.

Key vineyards for Bachelet Monnot in Maranges are La Fussière, which they produce in both red and white, and Clos de la Boutière. In Puligny-Montrachet, Marc and Alexandre produce Premier Crus Les Referts and Folatières along with Grand Crus Bienvenues-Bâtard Montrachet and Bâtard-Montrachet.
