The roots of Domaine Arlaud can be traced to 1942 when Renée Amiot from Burgundy and Joseph Arlaud, originally from Ardèche, came together. The current estate encompasses 15 hectares under vine. In 2004, they initiated organic farming practices in the vineyards, leading to their achievement of becoming the first certified biodynamic estate in Morey-Saint-Denis in 2014. The 2005 is sourced from the renowned Grand Cru vineyard of Bonnes Mares, situated on the border between the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune in Burgundy. This vineyard is known for its unique terroir, which combines the richness of the Côte de Nuits with the finesse of the Côte de Beaune, offering a wine that embodies both power and elegance. The wine presents a complex bouquet of dark red fruit, such as black cherry and raspberry, alongside earthy undertones and subtle floral notes, reflecting the depth of its origins. On the palate, it reveals a well-structured frame with firm tannins and a vibrant acidity, allowing for an excellent aging potential.
