Boekenhoutskloof Syrah 2005

HED95603 75cl 14.5%
Boekenhoutskloof Syrah 2005 is a full-bodied red wine produced from Syrah grapes sourced from the Swartland region of South Africa. Boekenhoutskloof was established in 1776 in the beautiful Franschhoek valley. In 1993 the farm and homestead was bought and restored by Mark Kent who has developed the property into one of the most critically acclaimed wine brands of the Western Cape. Syrah is Boekenhoutskloof`s speciality. The 2005 spent 27 months maturing in used French oak barrels. Producer note. "The Boekenhoutskloof Syrah shows spicy notes with elegant violet and fynbos aromas. Ground pepper is evident on the palate with a complex texture and depth bound together by focused tannins. This structure and complexity will lead the wine to develop further in the bottle for many years to come."
