Boekenhoutskloof Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 is a full-bodied red wine produced in the Franschhoek region of South Africa. This hedonistic cab was made from selected parcels of Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards planted on the north-western facing slopes of the Helderberg mountain and south-eastern facing slope of the Polkadraai Hills. Producer note. "The nose displays classical cassis and blackcurrant flavours with an amazing graphite profile. The wine has got great depth and structural balance rests on the austerity of the tannins. The palate has less richness compared to the 2004 and 2005 vintage but makes up for it with its seamless elegance. The structure and firm acidity suggest this wine has at least a decade of ageing potential."
