From Umbria comes this 100% Sagrantino, which is aged in large French oak barrels for 24 months followed by another 12 months in bottle. Dusty on the nose, the 2018 vintage shows concentration and character with notes of dark plums, blackberries and hints of caramel. On the palate, it is a medium-bodied wine, boasting firm tannins, and a progressively long finish. Best from 2026.
