Since 1784, the Royal Navy has been importing rum from the West Indies, but the tradition of the Tot dates back to 1655. The Black Tot Last Consignment is crafted using the final reserves of Royal Navy rum, carefully preserved in stone flagons since July 31st, 1970, when the final ‘Up spirits’ call resounded. This exceptional artifact encapsulates a rich historical significance, having been exquisitely bottled at 54.3% ABV and accompanied by a Tot cup reminiscent of the vessels employed during the era of daily rum rations.
