A glorious 100% Riesling from Weingut Wwe. Dr. H. Thanisch produced from the prestigious Berncasteler Doctor site. A beautiful off-dry style made from late harvested grapes. In the words of Robert Parker`s Wine Advocate, "The 2016 Riesling Berncasteler Doctor Spätlese is super clear, cool and flinty on the deep and complex nose that also shows tropical fruit aromas of passion fruit and mango. On the palate, this is an enormously rich, dense and textured Doctor Spätlese, a mouth-filling Riesling with almost 90 grams of unfermented sugar. There are tea flavours and a nice salinity in the finish. Generous and long, this has huge aging potential. 8% alcohol and 90 grams per litre of residual sugar." The perfect match for Asian cuisine.
