Pio Cesare Barolo 1968 is a fully mature red wine produced from Nebbiolo grapes in the Barolo appellation of Piedmont, northern Italy. Pio Cesare was founded in 1881 by Cesare Pio and is one of the oldest wine estates in the region. The company continues to be owned and run by Cesare Pio`s descendants, five generations on. This 1968 bottling is the fruit of what was an outstanding vintage across Italy, in particular in Piedmont, with many deeply scented and long-lived Nebbiolo wines produced. This particular bottle is missing its vintage tag.
