The Barbancourt distillery on Haiti was established in 1862 by Dupré Barbancourt, a native to the Charente region of France. Despite losing a third of its stock during the Haiti earthquake in 2010, the business thankfully survived, and remains an important player in rum production to this day. This is an exceptional bottle of Barbancourt 15-year-old rum. The Reserve Du Domaine was limited to only 20,000 bottles on release, which we estimate was in the 1970s.
