Located in Pessac-Léognan, Château Haut-Brion is one of the original five Premier Crus, in the 1855 classification of Bordeaux wines. In addition to the grand vin, Haut-Brion produces a red second wine. Formerly named Château Bahans Haut-Brion, beginning with the 2007 vintage, it was renamed Le Clarence de Haut Brion. The 2000 vintage is now a fully mature expression, revealing smoky, soft berry fruit and notes of porcini mushrooms, complemented by tobacco and blackcurrants.
