Avignonesi is one of the most esteemed wineries in Tuscany, notable for their commitment to organic and biodynamic farming. Desiderio is one of their flagship wines, named after Desiderio Donati, who used to work at the winery. It is made predominantly from Merlot, with a small proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon in some vintages. Desiderio is recognized for its power and intensity, offering up flavours of ripe black cherries, blackberries, and plums, with hints of vanilla, leather, and spicy notes from oak ageing.
