The Georgian Askaneli winery was founded in 1998 by the Chkhaidze brothers. The name “Askaneli” is associated with the small, magical village of Askana, where the old cellar, built by the family`s ancestor, Antimoz Chkhaidze, still stands. This dry white wine is made according to the Georgian tradition in an earthenware clay vessel (qvevri) and is fermented on the grape skins. This delicious white combines five eastern and western Georgian noble white grape varieties in a dizzying symphony. Lightly golden, with rich aromas of white plum, white cherry jam and thyme in a harmonious union with light oak notes. Refreshing acidity, delicate tannins a velvety prolonged finish.
