Arnaldo Caprai Montefalco Sagrantino 1997 is a full-bodied red wine produced from Sagrantino grapes in the Montefalco Sagrantino appellation of Umbria. Granted DOCG status in 1992, Montefalco Sagrantino is a bold and powerful red wine from the central Italian region of Umbria. By law it must be made from at least 95% Sagrantino grown around the town of Montefalco and must be aged for a minimum of 30 months. Arnaldo Caprai is widely regarded as one of the leading producers in the region and this is a beautiful expression of 100% Sagrantino aged for 24 months in French oak barrique and 6 months in bottle.
