Apros is a relatively new vermouth producer based in the Black Forest, Germany. It is the brainchild of the young entrepreneur Matthias Sasse, who recruited a restaurateur and a oenologist to join the team. This red expression is made with Pinot Noir from the Kaiserstuhl, matured in large wooden barrels, with rounded tannins and fruity aromas of red cherries. It is a refreshing vermouth, with notes of bergamot and cardamom, the sweet and savoury flavours of cinnamon, punctuated by lavender undertones.
