Anselmo Mendes Curtimenta Alvarinho 2021 is a full-bodied white wine produced from the Alvarinho grape variety in the Vinho Verde region of Portugal. Anselmo Mendes is one of the most influential winemakers in Portugal whose name is synonymous with the Alvarinho grape variety. His Curtimenta Alvarinho 2021 is produced from grapes in Monção and Melgaço. and is vinified “the old way”, with short contact with skins during fermentation. The wine was then aged, with bâtonnage, for nine months in 400l French oak barrels and a further 12 months in bottle. Winemaker note. "Complex nose, strong floral aromas together with hints of spicy/oaky aromas (hints of vanilla) and mineral (stony steely character). On the palate, slight herbaceous typical from the variety. Great structure with a fresh acidity along with a large, evolving and long end."
