Masi Amarone 1975 is a full-bodied appassimento-style red wine produced in the Valpolicella Classico zone of the Veneto in northern Italy. The Masi winery is synonymous with the Veneto and the production of the regional speciality, Amarone della Valpolicella. This powerful, complex wine style sees traditional grape varieties Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara air-dried on bamboo racks during the winter months to concentrate their flavour prior to fermentation. From this mature 1975 bottling, expect rich, decadent notes of sweet red cherries, plums cocoa and sweet tobacco.
