An exciting release from Bodegas Alvear, which was founded in 1729 and is the oldest winery in Andalusia. It is a sweet wine made of 100% Pedro Ximénez from the D.O. Montilla-Moriles. The grapes are sun-dried, and the wine is aged for 5 years in American oak barrels, by means of the traditional solera system. It is non-vintage but does have some 1927 wine in it.
