Quinta A Gaviñiera is a stately property in Galicia with 7.4ha of Albariño vines, some of which were planted in the 1920s. The estate was founded by Angel Sequeiros but it was not until 2009 that his son, Clement, began producing wine and, since then, he has gained a reputation for making some of the finest white wines in the region. This a wonderful expression of Albariño fermented in stainless steel but matured in wooden foudres for 11 months to give additional richness and texture. Wonderfully food-friendly, it has notes of stone fruits, citrus peel, acacia blossom, green tea and hints of smoke.
