D`Aiguilhe 2001 is primarily composed of Merlot, alongside a significant proportion of Cabernet Franc. The estate, owned by the Neipperg family, rests on clay-limestone soils that contribute to the fruit`s character. The wine was matured for approximately 12 months in a mix of used oak barrels, ensuring a restrained influence of oak on the final profile, allowing the terroir to express itself.
