Based in Auxey-Duresses, Terres de Velle is a relatively new Domaine which was established in 2009 by husband-and-wife team Sophie and Fabrice Laronze. Every year, the couple produces 18 appellations from grapes harvested on their 7-hectare estate, which represents a real patchwork of different terroirs. This particular release comes from ‘Les Charmes’, one of Meursault`s largest and best-known Premier Cru vineyards. The growing season in 2020 was characterized by favourable weather conditions, with a warm and dry spring leading to early budbreak and healthy vine growth. While there were some concerns about frost in certain areas during April, overall, the weather conditions during the summer were conducive to producing high-quality grapes.
