Glenfarclas
Glenfarclas is one of the last independently owned and operated distilleries in Speyside. Founded in 1836, the distillery was purchased by John Grant in 1865 and it's John's descendants that still manage the business today. Situated in the town of Ballindalloch, the distillery operate six of the largest stills in Speyside and have approximately 65,000 casks maturing in their ageing warehouse with stocks from every year since 1953.

When it comes to casks, Glenfarclas tend to favour ex-Sherry caks for maturing their spirit. The result is a whisky infused with complex notes of baking spice, dried fruit, tobacco and Christmas cake with the intensity of the Sherry barrel influence increasing as we move through the range - from 10 year old all the way up to 40 year old. One of Scotland's most famous Whiskies! The iconic 10 year old from Glenfarclas is a gloriously smooth single malt with notes of baked apple, honey, vanilla, pear drops and freshly crushed malt. Aged in Sherry casks for added richness and depth of flavour, this is a delicately, malt-forward dram with a hint of spice on the finish.
This is a consistently wonderful dram that has picked up numerous awards over the years, recently bagging a Gold Award at the 2020 International Spirits Challenge.
A superb cask strength release from Glenfarclas and something of a hidden secret among Scottish Whisky connoisseurs. Bottled at 60% ABV (or 105 proof in British proof), this non-age-statement dram is a blend of ex-Sherry and ex-Bourbon barrel aged spirit.
The result is a rich, full bodied whisky with a superb balance of baked fruit, vanilla pastry, lightly toasted nuts and subtle spice. Add a dash of water of open things up, or simply serve neat and enjoy the fireworks!
Aged for a quarter of a century in Oloroso Sherry casks, Glenfarclas 25YO is a balanced and harmonious blend of dried fruit, caramel, toasted nuts and orange peel on the nose. The palate is clean with notes of creamy oak, brown sugar and subtle Christmas cake spice before a long, complex finish.
A classic quarter century-aged single malt which was awarded a gold medal at the 2019 International Spirits Challenge.
Full complex aromas with fruit and Sherried malty tones. Further sherry on the palate, with notes of Cognac, fruit, nuts and marzipan. This is a wonderfully indulgent - Christmas cake in a glass!
The nose is rich and complex with notes of citrus peel and zest, Sherry-soaked dry fruit and a subtle hint of smoke. The palate adds a buttery richness alongside a touch of ginger cake spice before a long, evolving finish.
Autumn gold in the glass. The nose combines fresh sweetness with fruity aromas of Turkish delight. The palate is sweet and peppery with notes of caramel and dark chocolate before dried fruit and Sherry notes round things off on a crisp, lingering finish.
A stunning single malt from one of the few Scottish distilleries able to consistently release a 40 year old single malt. This edition is packaged in a gift box with artwork depicting the icon red doors of the distillery. Bottled at 43% ABV.
