Here at Hedonism Wines, we regularly host fantastic wine and spirit tastings with some of the world's greatest distilleries, Domaines and Châteaux. Founded in 2004 by Kevin and Hanli Grant, Ataraxia is nestled in the picturesque Hemel-en-Aarde region of South Africa. The estate, aptly named "The Skyfields," is renowned for its breathtaking views and unique terroir, which contribute to the distinctive character of its wines.
Ataraxia's philosophy centres on minimal intervention winemaking, allowing the true essence of the soil and climate to be expressed in every bottle.

Back in 2017, in celebration of Hedonism's 5th anniversary, we released an exclusive single malt scotch bottling with Signatory, from Linkwood Distillery. And so began a new journey, one of not only making some of the world's best spirits available to the world, but also in having a role in their creation. The Hedonism Exclusives programme is a passion project led by our spirits buyers, who work tirelessly to partner with some of the biggest names in whisky, mezcal, eaux de vie and more to craft bespoke and limited-edition bottlings that are only available through Hedonism.
Since the launch of the programme, we’ve curated over 20 exclusive bottlings. To celebrate the dedication and craftsmanship behind these releases, we are delighted to host a special tasting showcasing a selection of some of our finest Hedonism Exclusives.

The Henschke family have made wine at their estate in the Eden Valley since 1868, with fifth-generation winemaker Stephen Henschke taking over in 1979. Together with his viticulturist wife, Prue, they have built upon their inheritance, transforming this traditional producer into one that is celebrated worldwide.
Their two flagship single vineyards wines, ‘Hill of Grace’ and ‘Mount Edelstone’, have become two of Australia’s most acclaimed. We’re delighted to welcome sixth-generation winemaker Johann Henschke to celebrate the release of the highly acclaimed 2021 Henschke Single Vineyard wines.

The Bowmore distillery has stood on the shores of Loch indaal, facing the wild Atlantic Ocean, since 1779. Home to the legendary No.1 Vaults and the mysterious alchemy within, it is more than an Islay distillery, but the oldest licensed distillery there. More than a culmination of 240 years, time has enabled the team to hone the skills and make intentional choices. In 1975, legendary vintner Josh Jensen founded Calera high in the remote Gavilan Mountains of California’s Central Coast. Today, under the stewardship of winemaker Mike Waller these vineyards are recognised as some of the New World’s most revered Pinot Noir sites.

Defying trends since 1984, Eric Rodez has embraced organic and biodynamic viticulture in his 6 hectares of Grand Cru vineyards in Ambonnay, even famously incorporating aromatherapy into his vineyard practices. While Champagne is now full of rising stars crafting exceptional wines, Eric is a true pioneer - not just in sustainable farming, but as an iconic grower who helped inspire a new generation.
At Champagne Eric Rodez, the vineyards - and the environment - have always come first. As proud custodians of some of Champagne’s most prestigious plots, particularly in Ambonnay, the family continues to honour this legacy. Today, Eric's son, Mickael, and daughter-in-law, Aurélie, are taking on increasingly important roles both in the vineyard and the cellar, ensuring that the family tradition thrives for generations to come.

Felton Road has become one of Central Otago’s most renowned wineries, celebrated for its Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Riesling. Since the late 1990s, under the leadership of Nigel Greening, the estate has embraced full organic and biodynamic practices, driven by Greening’s hands-off, vineyard-focused philosophy. Known for his wit, intelligence, and deep commitment to sustainability, he has guided Felton Road to its place among New Zealand’s leading wine producers.
As Greening himself so aptly puts it:
''Once we have such a place, we focus on discovering how to enable Pinot Noir to express it fully. This is why farming great Pinot Noir so often goes hand in hand with organics and biodynamics. Enabling the land to tell its story through the grapes that are grown on it requires that the land is neither polluted, nor degraded by the imposition of viticulture. Winemaking similarly is driven by humility and curiosity, not ego.''
