Located in the East Midlands of England, White Peak Distillery was co-founded in 2016 by husband-and-wife team Max and Claire Vaughan. Wire Works is a small batch single malt, matured in a combination of first-fill ex-bourbon and STR casks, with a higher proportion of American oak. Bottled at 47.7% ABV, this is a lightly-peated whisky, offering notes of vanilla butter fudge, green apples and fruitcake on the nose, with tobacco, bitter orange marmalade and cereal on the palate.
