Wessman One Rose
Robert Wessman of Bergerac estate, St Cernin, has teamed up with a top Champagne house based in Aÿ to create a beautiful Non-Vintage Rosé. It is a classic blend of 55% Pinot Noir (from Aÿ) and 45% Chardonnay (from the Côte des Blancs) which is then cellar-aged for 3 years before release. Gorgeous, salmon-pink in colour, it wafts from the glass with subtle hints of summer berries, rose and hawthorn. On the palate it is intense, pure and elegant, with the perfect balance between bright strawberry fruit and pithy citrus notes. It is the perfect aperitif but would also match brilliantly with fresh seafood dishes.
