This is a blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc from the southern part of Styria famous for its limestone rich clay soils aged for a minimum of 22 months in large old oak barrels which aims to display the terroir driven style of the wines.
Initially the Ex Vero II displays lees and flinty aromas, followed by tart green apples and lemon peel. Crisp citrus and tart green fruits, lightening acidity and wet stones, think Chablis crossed with Sancerre.
