The Clos des Réas is a historical premier cru in Vosne-Romanée and a monopole of the Gros family. The vineyard was acquired by Alphonse Gros in 1860 and has stayed within the family ever since. Its wines are today vinified and marketed under Domaine Michel Gros. With extended aging, the 1998 vintage has gone through significant transformations and developed a range of complex flavours and aromas. Expect notes of mature red fruit such as dried cherries, dried cranberries, hints of forest floor, truffle, and underbrush.
