‘Aux Brûlées’ or ‘Les Brûlées’ is one of the 14 premier cru sites within the Vosne-Romanée appellation. The terroir here is famous for producing relatively full-bodied, concentrated wines with a spicy profile. This particular expression was produced by Michel Gros – the eldest son of the late Jean Gros – who owns a 0.63-hectare plot of 40-year-old vines. The 2010 vintage is a medium-bodied wine, brimming with plums, dark berries, wet earth, some spices and a thin layer of tobacco.
