Founded in 1849 by Franz Peter Buhl, Reichsrat von Buhl is a prestigious wine producer situated in the Pfalz, southwest of Germany. The estate currently owns 52 hectares of organic vineyards, mainly in top Riesling growing areas. This expression is made with fruit grown in Jesuitengarten, a 7.8-hectare vineyard site with mixed soil types including limestone and basalt. The wine was fermented in large new oak barrels and spent 11 months on the lees. The result is a fragrant and spicy wine, revealing notes of lemon, passion fruit and dried apricot, all against a mineral background.
