Vergelegen, situated in Somerset West in the Western Cape of South Africa, holds a rich winemaking legacy spanning over 320 years. The G.V.B. White 2005 represents a blend of 79% Sémillon and 21% Sauvignon Blanc. The winemaking process involves whole-bunch pressing for both Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, followed by fermentation and maturation in Burgundy barrels for a period of ten months. The underlying philosophy behind the creation of this white wine is to capture and express the unique terroir inherent to the estate.
