Talisker 45 Year Old Glacial Edge

This 45-year-old Talisker marks the concluding chapter in the Xpedition Oak series, a collaboration with the marine conservation charity Parley for the Oceans. For this release, the whisky underwent a finishing process in twelve casks exposed to sub-zero temperatures within a Canadian glacier. Following the removal of the cask heads, they endured a chilling 45 degrees below zero for four days. This extreme condition caused the heavily charred American oak to crack, expanding the surface area and revealing wood with a subtly altered character.
